KIX BROOKS NAMED VANDERBILT CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL BOARD CHAIR
Kix Brooks has been named the new chair of Monroe Carrell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt Advisory Board, effective July 1, 2020, by the Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC). The board also recently named Louise Adams as the chair of the Vanderbilt Eye Institute Advisory Board.
The announcement comes after years of Brooks’ volunteer and fundraising efforts for VUMC. He has hosted the annual Arrington Vineyards Harvest party for the past eight years to raise funds and awareness for the hospital, and he has been the host or key supporter in other events for the hospital, like Behind the Music and Celebrity Golf Classic. Brooks has also been involved with the Fort Negley Advisory Board and the Country Music Association, efforts which made him the first recipient of the Country Music Association’s Humanitarian Award in December 2014.
“Louise and Kix are both passionate and long-serving advisory board members who bring wisdom and experience to these important roles. I want to express my sincere appreciation to each of them, and to our other advisory board members, for their steadfast support of the Medical Center’s mission,” said Jeff Balser, MD, PhD, president and CEO of VUMC and dean of the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine.
